The Illumination Deck was a no brainer. You had demonstrated your aptitude to illuminate the heart, the mind, the spirit, and the imagination with your publishing of "Genius Love". I purchased the last copy in the store and amongst the hundreds of books where it sits in my apartment, it is my most cherished prose. It is exciting to witness a person's talents in full swing. I am thrilled and honored to participate in that process with you. Thanks for sharing your gifts and talents with the world. The Deck is beautiful and well worth all the hard work. A reading with you would be a treasured prize!
ReplyDeleteBest,
Sarah Regan
YAY! I love the Golden Moth Illumination Deck! I think I love it most because it doesn't have the mysticism that surrounds Tarot and other methods of divination: it is intuitive and visual, from an artist's perspective and a perfect fit for me personally.
ReplyDeleteI've been lucky enough to have had several readings, all of which have been inspiring and insightful, and now have the pleasure of owning a deck and reading for myself.
If I won the giveaway I would give the deck as a gift to a friend who I think would truly appreciate it (though I think I would selfishly keep the reading all to myself).
Congratulations Aijung on making such a success of this project!
(I also posted your giveaway on Facebook, and I can't find where to click to officially follow this blog, but I"ve subscribed in my Google Reader)
Thank you Sarah and Katie for your very kind and wonderful words! I will be sure to enter you into the drawing.
ReplyDeleteKatie, I've just now added a few gadgets to the side bar and there is now a "Follow This Blog" Section where you can use Google Friend Connect, Google+, or subscribe by e-mail. In my other blog, you can find the "Follow" button up on the toolbar, but for some reason it doesn't display on this blog. Maybe Blogger has done away with it for new blogs.
Thanks guys!
Hi Aijung,
ReplyDeleteyou did me a reading a little while ago ,great reading and love the symbolism of the deck, XXX
Thank you for this amazing giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI bought and read some of your zines in the past and I love your style! :)
And this is why I'm leaving this comment for a chance to win :)
and why I follow your other blog.
This project is so interesting! Welll done!
Aijung I count myself fortunate to have met you.
ReplyDeleteYour art work helps me smile and encourages me to ponder life's little wonders, a bit more often.
I wish you much luck in the future with this wonderful deck you've created.
Cheers~
Hello! I am interested in the deck because I love books, printmaking, boxes of cards, artists' books, interactive art, and the like. Your illustrations are so beautiful! This deck is such a magical creation. Thanks for doing the giveaway! I am also following both your blogs now.
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Michelle
I love the look and "feel" of the cards, and I would love to have a deck of my own. I'm happy to say that finding the deck on Etsy opened the door to your other work for me! I am following both of your blogs.
ReplyDeleteAijung--I am so taken with these cards and the concept and your art, so so beautiful and full of deep magic! The colors and drawings! I'm at a twisty time of transitions now, and the Golden Moth deck is calling out to me with its own particular voice. It feels right to me, like the stories in the cards have things to tell, like the illumination might speak to this time of my own silly story. Thanks so much for creating what you do and for this giveaway. I'm following this blog now, and have followed your art blog for a while.
ReplyDeleteLove the way the final deck turned out, from the colors to the borders and the title! I already purchased one deck but would love to receive a second to gift to a friend. Your card readings are a work of art in themselves. I'd take one any day! :-)
ReplyDelete(I'm subscribed to both of your blogs)
Hello, you have won a set of two notecards! read this post for more details, and congratulations! http://goldenmoth.blogspot.com/2012/09/giveaway-winners.html
DeleteI love the simplicity of the artwork - and I admit, I have a thing for moths. Always have. I don't understand it, I don't try to understand it. I just saved one from a spider web tonight, actually.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, though - looks like a fun deck! I am interested to get my hands on it and see how it works.
I would have to say that this is a very beautiful deck of cards. I am a young, average guy who is finding a very deep spiritual calling that isn't shared by most of my peers. I would love to get my hands on one of your decks, because It would not only increase the depth of my spirituality but would also be an amazing tool to open doorway toward enlightenment for all my friends and loved ones I could give readings to with these cards. The beautiful thing about the moth is for better or worse, is it makes no hesitation before charging forth toward light. Many overlook the Moth, but with your deck in my hands I would embody it.
ReplyDeleteI'm interested in the deck because I love all things divination. I have a blog where I use a different deck every day to inspire insight on various topics, so I always like having a new deck for those purposes as well.
ReplyDeletethank you everyone for your comments so far! it's very interesting to read what you have to say, and i am excited to send the winners their deck/readings! Still a couple more weeks to go before I draw names...
ReplyDeleteI've recently gotten (back) into Tarot and divination in general, and self-published/indie decks interest me enormously. I think because they dovetail neatly into my love of zines and chapbooks and what have you? Since I am poor I'll probably never be able to actually afford a self-published deck, which is why I'd like to enter this contest, please!
ReplyDeleteAalso! This deck in PARTICULAR interests me because of several reasons: 1) the Sassy Sibyl's review, which was really nice and informative and made me want to get the deck in the first place, 2) the ARTWORK! from the sample images it looks lovely, and 3) that it's meant to stimulate creativity/inspiration/etc. Fantastic!
So! Thank you so much for having this giveaway. :D
I've also become a follower of this blog and of your art blog, so I should be entered three times into the contest, yes? Yay!
Oh, here's my email if you need it: herebebooks@gmail.com
My attention was drawn to your deck by Melissa Hill, whose website I follow. I'm interested in your deck because I love to collect and use different types of divination tools. Your deck looks very attractive and intriguing, and I would be thrilled to have it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! My brother reads tarot in LA. Would I gift this to him or keep it for myself?? :) xo Aijung! -Megan

ReplyDelete...oh, and I am a follower of both blogs and am updating my site (regardless) to include you on my inspirations page. :)
ReplyDeleteHi All,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your comments. I apologize for running behind on picking the giveaway winners. This summer has been a whirlwind and I am now working on organizing my life so I don't have more delays like this! I will pick the winners soon after I return from out-of-town next week, that way I will be more prepared to give readings and send out the package. Keep your eyes peeled because I will need e-mail addresses from the winners soon... Thanks all!
